    There’s nothing Australians love to hate more than bludgers- those perceived to happily receive government benefits without making any effort to change their circumstances and contribute to society. At the same time we feel passionately for those in need and are adamant that it is Un-Australian not to offer a helping hand and take care of those without means and deserving. This was reinforced in our latest study Retirees: All Things Money where those in their late 60s and 70s expressed both opinions strongly, regardless of their own financial circumstances.
